MARTOL EV

Description:

Vanishing Oils for Light-Duty Stamping and Blanking of Various Metals.

Applications:

MARTOL EV series of oils are "vanishing" type fluids for light stamping and blanking of various metals. They are odorless, fast drying, non-staining, non-corrosive, and non-toxic. Each of the MARTOL EV oils is formulated with a solvent based carrier. Some will contain lubricity and/or extreme pressure agents. The solvent carriers wet out and cool while the lubricity and extreme pressure agents prevent abrasion and pick-up. The solvent carriers evaporate leaving behind a minute film, which generally doesn't require removal. Lithographed metals are unaffected.

MARTOL EV oils are designed for light gauge stamping, blanking, and hydroforming. Stock up to 0.030" thick is usually acceptable for use with the MARTOL EV products.

MARTOL EV oils compounded with only fat find particular use as stamping lubricants for non-ferrous metals. Those compounded with phosphorus or chlorine and fats are well suited for carbon steels. The MARTOL EV 4755 is primarily recommended for stainless steel applications. All, however, are adaptable and have seen satisfactory use in both ferrous and non-ferrous applications. These products are usually fed to felt wipers or rollers in contact with the metal strip.

Advantages:

• Good pressing capacity.

• Generally doesn't require degreasing.

• Handles a broad spectrum of ferrous and non-ferrous metals.

• Excellent metal wetting ability.

• Non-staining, non-corrosive, and non-toxic.

• Odorless.

• Fast drying.
