Description:

Gulf Merit series are premium quality oils specially developed for the lubrication of pneumatically operated rock drills and other air operated percussion tools. These oils are blended from high quality mineral oils and unique combination of superior film strength, tackiness and anti-wear additives. These oils provide excellent chemical stability and protection against wear, rust and corrosion. These oils have good adhesiveness and preferential metal wetting properties that maintain continuous oil film even in presence of water and thereby reduce the negative effects of water, condensed from moisture carried along with the air stream, on wear and corrosion. The combination of these properties along with superior EP characteristics help in providing excellent lubrication leading to long component life. They are available in five ISO viscosity grades viz. ISO VG 32, 46, 100, 150, 220 and 320.

Features & Benefits:

  • Excellent load carrying capacity and anti-wear protection reduce component wear and prolong equipment life
  • Good chemical stability minimises sludge and deposit formation
  • Superior metal wetting properties and adhesiveness help adhesion to metal surfaces and protect them from corrosion
  • Excellent water emulsification property provides adequate lubrication even in presence of water

Applications:

  • Pneumatically operated rock drills in underground/surface mining operations and quarry operations
  • Pneumatically operated drills and jack hammers in construction of roads and buildings
  • Wide variety of heavy-duty pneumatically operated equipment
  • Percussion and rotary air-operated tools in industrial operations
  • Pneumatic equipment of Gardner Denver, Chicago Pneumatic, Ingersoll-Rand and other manufacturers
